Help & guide

Everything you need to create, brand and print QR codes that keep working.

Getting started

  1. Create a free account with your email and a password (at least 10 characters).
  2. On My codes, give your code a name only you will see (for example "Table menu"), choose what it opens, and click Create.
  3. Download the code, print it and scan it with your phone camera to test before printing lots of copies.

The code always contains the same short address. You can change what it opens at any time without reprinting. That's what makes it dynamic.

You can switch a code between the two at any time on its page; your link is remembered if you switch back.

Uploading a menu

File typesPDF, JPG, PNG or WebP
SizeUp to 20 MB per file, up to 10 files at once
Pages per menuFree: 5 · Pro: 40 (each PDF page counts as one)
Not supportedPassword-protected PDFs, GIF, HEIC (iPhone photos: share them as JPG), Word files

Colours & logo

Set these once on the Brand page; they apply to every code you download from then on.

Downloading & printing

Printing tips: print at 100% / "actual size"; keep the code at least 3 × 3 cm (bigger if people scan from further away); leave the white margin around it; use matt paper or card (250 gsm or more for tents), because glossy laminate can glare under lights.

Scan stats

Each code's page shows total scans, a chart of the last 30 days and whether people used phones, tablets or computers. We record only the time and device type, never who scanned or their IP address. Days run midnight to midnight GMT (UTC), so a late-evening scan in summer counts toward the next day.

Troubleshooting

The code won't scan
Check it's printed at least 3 cm wide, isn't glossy or creased, and has its white margin. Try the plain black-and-white version to rule out colours.
Scanning shows "Not Found"
The code is paused (switch Active back on), or it was deleted.
My menu shows "being updated"
The code is set to a hosted menu but has no pages yet: upload some on its page.
Upload rejected
Check the file type and size above, and that the PDF isn't password-protected. iPhone photos: share them as JPG first.
Forgot password
Use Forgot password? on the log-in page; the link works for 1 hour.
